mmm . . . mmm . . . guacamole!

mmm . . . mmm . . . guacamole!

To whom so ever it may concern:

Below is a recipe of ridiculously tasty (and easy to make) guacamole that was introduced to me by my wonderful friend A. Easy to make, really tasty, healthy and with few ingredients – here you go:

Ingredients (1 serving; multiply by number of people!)

  • 1 medium hass avacado (ripeness test: should feel like a racquetball ball)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 plum tomato, cubed
  • 1/4 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste

Optional ingredients (Any additional ingredients don’t necessarily make the thing taste better, it only adds another flavor. So if you like these flavors, add them – otherwise leave them out!)

  • 1 Serrano pepper, sliced
  • Any other ingredient you like

Put olive oil, garlic and onions in a pan and heat on low to medium heat. (These can be had raw, so if you don’t want to, don’t cook them.) While the onion and garlic are cooking, cut the avacado in half, de-seed and scoop out the flesh. (Hint: To deseed, pry the seed out with a knife. To scoop out the flesh, use a tablespoon.) Put this in a bowl with the lemon juice and salt and mash to your heart’s content. Once the onions are cooked, add in all the remaining ingredients and fold in with the mashed stuff. That’s it! Done! Eat with chips.
